How can I become a Chautauqua Sponsor?

Boy, are we glad you asked THAT!

As you can imagine, it takes many hands, hearts, and strong backs to make the Chautauqua Festival the success it has been over the years, but it would all go for naught without the generous contributions from our local sponsors. Each year plans are made for programming, workshops, and events for the next Chautauqua Festival. The Wythe Arts Council sponsors several fund raising events during the year, but ultimately we depend on the donations from people like you to bring all of the planning to reality.

Like all businesses and organizations, we are looking closely at our bottom line and investigating opportunities for the best use of our fundraising dollars. This year we have decided to forgo the expense of the Patronís Party in order to focus on maintaining an admission-free Festival for the citizens of our community. To recognize their support, we have increased the advertising for our sponsors. We have also reduced the Patronís level and added the gift of Chautauqua Dollars. Patrons will receive 5 Chautauqua Dollars for every $50 donated that can be spent at the drink tent or the special concessions gazebo.

As we are preparing for the 2015 Festival, which will be held from June 20-27, your help is greatly needed. You can help by clicking on the Donate button (above) or completing and returning a Pledge Form. All donations are tax deductible. If you respond by April 30, you will also be recognized in the Festival Program. Please let us count on you for one of the following sponsorships:

  • Patrons ($50-$299) will receive their name in the program, and Chautauqua Dollars for every $50 donated.

  • STAR Sponsor ($300-$499) will receive social media exposure, publicity on the radio, name recognition on stage, their names in the program, and participation at our sponsor table.

  • TONY Sponsor ($500-$999) will receive social media exposure, publicity on the radio, T-shirt advertisement, names in the program, name recognition on stage, and participation at our sponsor table.

  • GRAMMY Sponsor ($1000-$1499) will receive a 1/8 page color logo ad in our program, social media exposure, publicity on the radio, presentation on stage, T-shirt advertisement, participation at our sponsor table, and their company banner on the stage during the entire eight day event.

  • EMMY Sponsor ($1500-$2499) will receive a 1/4 page color logo ad in our program, premium social media exposure, publicity on the radio, presentation on stage, T-shirt advertisement, participation at our sponsor table, and their company banner on the stage during the entire eight day event.

  • OSCAR Sponsor ($2500 & up) will receive a 1/3 page color logo ad in our program, premium social media exposure, publicity in the local newspaper & on local radio, presentation on stage, T-shirt advertisement, participation at our sponsor table, and their company banner on the stage during the entire eight day event.
Please fill out and return the Pledge Form by April 30th so we may include your sponsorship information in this yearís program. You may mail your pledge form to The Wythe Arts Council, P.O. 911, Wytheville, VA 24382 or fax to Wythe Arts Council @ 223-1116.

On a designated date, to be determined, in appreciation of your sponsorship and in addition to the above recognitions, Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy sponsors will be invited to send a representative of your business to distribute publicity of your company and sponsorship of the Festival.

We appreciate and depend on the faithfulness of our sponsors throughout the years in making the festival a success. The residents of Wythe and the surrounding counties are indeed fortunate to have caring sponsors like you to make the festival a reality.
